Dear Mercer Creek Family,
Jesus said in Acts 1:8, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” These words have captured my heart for years, and today, we join generations before us in saying, “We will go, we will pray, we will serve, we will give. Whatever You call us to, Jesus, and whatever it takes, we want to bring Your love, truth, and salvation to the ends of the earth!”
I have loved Missions Week!! The Ramseys are such a phenomenal couple, and it was great to get to know them and hear about their work. This weekend, we have the privilege of hosting one of our global partners who many of you have worked with in Mexico over the past decade. I know it is Memorial Day weekend, but you will not want to miss hearing from Dave Hessler. I also want to celebrate that this week we reached our capacity for the summer Mexico trip. Twenty people are set to go with us this year! There is still time to sign up for the Dominican Republic trip, so if you have questions, reach out to nathan.benfield85@gmail.com.
It has been so amazing to see how God has been working in and through our church this last year, even with so many challenging transitions. I am grateful that we have put a greater focus on prayer, serving our community, and global missions. Along the way, we have welcomed so many new folks of all ages. This last season has had many blessings. As our leadership team looks to next year's ministry season, we see so many opportunities. We are looking forward to being fully staffed again as we expand our ministry to adults, teenagers, and college students. We also hope to have even more Mercer Creekers serving at one of our serve days and hopefully sending even more on a mission trip next year. We are anticipating tremendous ministry opportunities as we continue following God's direction. So I ask you to join us in praying for all of these opportunities. I’ve asked you to pray for the staff and pastors that God will call, but would you also pray for God’s provision? Pray that God would produce the financial resources that we need to step out in bold faith to proclaim the gospel here and abroad. Through all of this, continue to pray for us, everyone who calls Mercer Creek home, to be able to grow as disciples. We can see so many tremendous opportunities, but your prayers and God’s provision is what's needed to prepare for the powerful work that God has for us.
We are preparing for another baptism celebration at the end of June. If you or anyone you know is considering getting baptized, don’t miss the classes coming up on June 9th. Lastly, remember that we will be honoring and praying for high school and college graduates on Sunday, June 2nd.

MC Kids Camp Supply Wall
We are gearing up for MC Kids Camp! There are many supplies needed to help with crafts and snacks and more! If you would like to fill a supply need, head to the Supply Wall between the Commons and the drinking fountains and grab a supply tag.
MC Kids Camp Volunteers
In order for MC Kids Camp to happen, we need volunteers! Volunteers will be leading kids in games, worship, crafts, snacks, and more all while being a light for Jesus. ENCOURAGEMENT CARDS
On Sundays, in the seat backs in front of you, we have postcards that we call Encouragement Cards. These are for you to write a note of encouragement to anyone you know - whether they attend our church or not. Include as much of the address as you can, even if that is just the first and last name, drop it in the copper boxes in the back of the worship center or a wooden offering box, and we'll mail it for you. This simple gesture can be a huge blessing!

Child Dedication Class - June 2
We are thrilled to offer another opportunity for Child Dedications this Spring! Attending a dedication class is required before dedicating your child/children. The class is Sunday, June 2nd at 10:00am in Room 15. Dedications will take place on Father's Day, June 16th. To sign up, please go to mercercreek.org/dedication. Prayer Team Training - June 2
We are hosting a Prayer Team Training on Sunday, June 2nd at 11:45am in the Mt. Stuart Room. Lunch will be provided. This is a training for both those who currently serve on the Prayer Team, and those who would like to join. Everyone will receive a prayer team manual and we will review expectations together. Prayer & Worship Night - June 5
You're invited to our monthly Prayer & Worship Night on the first Wednesday of every month at 7:00pm in the Commons. Our purpose is to develop a corporate space for seeking God's presence and praying from that place of alignment and connection. Those who attend can expect to learn how to create space to connect with God and develop the ability to listen for His heart when in prayer.
Baptism Class - June 9
Are you interested in getting baptized, or want to learn more about what baptism is? We are having a baptism class on June 9th at 10am in the Conference Room for adults and high school students and room 15 for kids and middle school students. Baptism Weekend will be June 30th.
