Pastor James, Zach, Wes and MAC Elder Bryan Paur field questions from the congregation related to God's will for our lives and for those who are in leadership in the church. Questions posed from the MAC family are as follows this week:

• How do you know what God has called you to do?

• How do you discern what's God's voice and what's not?

• Maybe this isn’t a podcast question per se, but have the pastors (and elders) considered finding ways to connect more with the individuals/families in the congregation? In a church of this size, compared to my previous smaller church, it feels like pastors especially are more removed from the church body in some ways. Like we see pastors at church, but not at all outside of Sunday morning in most cases. I don’t have any logistics suggestions for how to improve really, but I’m not sure it’s a good sign that I feel I should still call my former pastor years later when I have theological questions because I don’t feel I know the pastors at MAC as well.

Questions answered this week are: - How did you meet your wife? - Why does the Bible teach that it is wrong to have sex with somebody unless you are married first? - God and scripture are pretty clear on homosexual sin. What would you say to a believer struggling with attending holiday gatherings with and weddings for same sex couples.

Pastor James, Ralph and Zach are joined by MAC Elder Jon Chara as they tackle the following questions submitted by the MAC family: - Is Jesus the only way to heaven, and why? - If all those who live Godly in Jesus will suffer persecution (2 Timothy 3:12) what am I not doing that I should be doing? - I’m reading through the Bible anew this year, and recently read Exodus 4:24-26, and I’m not sure I understand why the Lord sought to put Moses to death… he had just commanded him to go to Pharaoh, so why then would he not want Moses to go obey? Was Moses disobeying and the details were omitted? Did it have something to do with circumcision perhaps (since vs 25-26 include his wife circumcising their son and then the Lord “let him alone”)? I was just very confused reading that section. - If the Godhead is of the same mind, then why would the Father do something to us that Jesus would not, or vice versa? (It gives the feeling that God would have done something different if not for Jesus’s intercession for us. Like they are in a committee meeting. Or that one is more compassionate than another. Or that Jesus knows something that God has overlooked.) not trying to stump anybody, just nobody has ever been able to add insight, and this passage was so poorly used in my childhood church. (God would strike you down if Jesus wasn’t there to tell him you’re really worth saving, in short). Thank you!

What Bible translation would you recommend for serious Bible study? In order to recognize the counterfeit we need to know what’s real. 2. What is the best way to help people be aware of the false philosophies that are out there today. Especially the New Apostolic Reformation when it has infiltrated so many popular podcasters and mega churches and popular “Christian” music artists.
