Every human life includes a story, with a specific arc, worthy to be discovered. As the resurrected Jesus walked with two disciples on the road to Emmaus, it wasn’t until he sat with them, blessed and broke bread that they recognized clearly who He was. In this message, we finish our series “Find Your Place” by recognizing the last piece of our Spiritual GPS triangulation — Story, and its biggest clues in which Jesus invites us to find meaning and purpose: Our life’s blessedness as well as our brokenness.
PASSIONS: The Who And What You Were Made To Fight For [AUDIO ONLY]

Who is "Goliath" to you? So easily we can frame life's "Goliaths" as inconvenient obstacles in the way of unlimited comforts and distractions we are privileged to pursue in our culture. But what if Goliath represents something more meaningful? What if the Goliaths in our world represent oppression against names and faces of people created in the image of God? Or the symptom of a good cause that ignites passion within us that energizes us to run towards the world's most difficult issues, much like David did as he challenged Goliath head on? In this message, we explore the second category of GPS -- Passions, as the main motivator in life that helps us understand why we are fighting and what we are fighting for.
GIFTS: The Two Types Of Gifts

Although storytelling in our culture has more recently embraced the "underside" of telling familiar stories from a different character's perspective (Shrek, Wicked, Maleficent), this has been an ancient posture held in the earliest writings of the Bible. David (the young shepherd boy character who defeats Goliath) is still familiar in our cultural lexicon and points to a valuable lesson about God-given gifts. In this message, we explore the first category of GPS -- Gifts, and the idea that much like David, we carry both a God-given sling (natural gifts) and harp (supernatural gifts).
GPS: Discover Your Masterpiece Mission

Mark Twain famously wrote, "The two most important days in your life are the day you were born, and the day you find out why." Much like GPS technology which triangulates where we are and where we are going, a spiritual GPS (Gifts, Passions, Story) can help us know who we are and what is in store with God's unique plans for us. In this message, we begin the first part of a series exploring personal calling through the Big Idea: I will discover my Masterpiece Mission when I tune in the signals of my Gifts, my Passions, and my Story.
