The Best Christmas Pressure Cooker Recipe

December 17, 2023 • T.D. Davis

Have you ever made a recipe in a pressure cooker? The science behind the technology of placing ingredients in a pot to be cooked at lightning fast speed is impressive, but reminds us how "out of our league" we are when we try to practically explain to others how it all actually works. Similarly, the paradoxes of Scripture remind us how "out of our league” we are when it comes to the supernatural elements of God in our lives. In this message, T.D. Davis (co-lead pastor) uses the Christmas paradox of the virgin birth to remind us that the disorienting “in-between” seasons of life invite us into a powerful recipe for supernatural spiritual growth.

The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year

December 10, 2023 • T.D. Davis

How’s your level of cynicism or nostalgia this Holiday season? In the midst of the cultural phenomenon of Christmas, it’s easy to be swept up in the powerful distrust of human motives or the sentimental yearning of returning to the past. The season of Advent reminds us of the anticipatory “coming” of Jesus, but it becomes so easy to lose a fresh sense of wonder when it comes to God’s presence in familiar traditions. In this message, T.D. Davis (co-lead pastor) encourages us to allow the Holy Spirit to guide our perspective into a renewed revelation as we engage in the presence of the most “wonder-full” time of the year.
