Real Talk: Listen for (a) Change

Real Talk: Listen for (a) Change

June 7, 2020

Meck is a family of faith, one that is wonderfully, beautifully, intentionally diverse. As a family, we have been grieving over the racism and injustice typified in the killing of black men and women like George Floyd.
Sympathy is good, but as a family we can do better than that, because not all of us in our family are experiencing this in the same way. Those of us who are white are deeply sympathetic, but we have to be empathetic. We have to listen and learn and enter into how our black brothers and sisters are feeling, and how we can walk with them AS their family during this trying time and into a future of hopeful change.
Join us as we come together to discuss all that's happening with the intent on making sure we not only sympathize, but empathize with the black members of our family. 🤝
