Our Strategy: Multiplying Disciples P2
September 15, 2024 • Pastor Cameron Ward • Acts 2:42–47
Today we continue Part 2 of our Strategy, Multiply Disciples. Discipleship can be kind of daunting. It seems like A LOT. Sometimes the method seems to slow. Life on life discipleship seems messy. Agonizing at times. Isn't there a quicker way? But the method works. Well, truly it doesn't just work, it multiplies. This method of Jesus was slow, disciplined, and powerful. It must be ours as well. Last week, we learned we must yearn to make disciples who make disciples. Today we wrap up this strategy by focusing on two other pillars of multiplying disciples: 1) They gather to scatter 2) They exist for those who aren't here yet. What does this look like? Tune in to find out!
Our Strategy: Multiplying Disciples P1

When faced with the task of reconciling the world to God, Jesus did not pursue bigger crowds, greater prestige, or more influence, instead he pursued a few faithful men. Jesus spent the majority of his time with a few. His method to reach the world, multiply himself into a few, who then in turn do the same. This was the method of Jesus, it was the method of his disciples, it was the method of the first church, and it must continue to be our method today. The question, where do we start? That is what we're examining today, so tune in!
Our Mission

Our obedience to Jesus is determined by our understanding of his authority. Jesus said "All authority in heaven and earth has been given to me." Do you believe that is true? Do you live as if it is true? Are you not sure? The easiest way to check is to ask this: am I being obedient to Jesus? Jesus' command wasn't something for some Christians, but for all. Today we examine how knowing Jesus, his character, dominion, power, and authority, determines how we obey his command to make him known.
