The Urban Pastor

As pastor at Mars Hill Baptist Church of Chicago, I'm am passionate about helping people connect life's dots so they can live abundantly. I thrive on assisting people, leaders, pastors, and those in ministry think through life, leadership, goals, and strategy. My speciality is organizational and personal leadership, so in addition to my role as a pastor, as I have time, I consult with business, church, and ministry leaders. I have more than 20 years of leadership experience, mostly as an executive director of a Christian school, and have been in full-time ministry for 20 years. I have a seminary master's and a Master of Public Administration in Urban Planning. The greatest times for me or with my wife Shauntai and my two sons, Myles and Joshua, and my baby girl Lauren. I write on personal development, leadership, finance, relationships, inspiration, and motivation. On occasion, I write about stuff that doesn't fit neatly into one of these categories. My goal is to create insightful, relevant content that you can put to work in your personal and professional life. If you are in a position of leadership-or aspire to be-then this blog is for you. I typically post two to three times a week. To make sure you don't miss my newest posts, you can subscribe via RSS feed. You can email me at cestowers@clarencestowers.com. YouVersion

The Bible App

Since its start in 1996, LifeChurch.tv's purpose has been to lead people to become fully devoted followers of Christ. In doing so, we have looked for new ways to help people connect the Bible to their daily lives. Our methods have changed over the years as we've incorporated various technologies and strategies. But at the core, our focus remains on relevancy as we consistently strive to demonstrate and teach people how God's Word relates to everyone, no matter where they are in life. YouVersion represents a new frontier in LifeChurch.tv's efforts. We aren't just building a tool to impact the world using innovative technology, more importantly, we are engaging people into relationships with God as they discover the relevance the Bible has for their lives.
