Be The Church

Mission & Vision

Generous Givers

Week 5 • May 6, 2018 • Blake Pitts

Jesus left the riches of heaven to serve us, that we might experience the richness of God (2 Corinthians 8:9). In this, Jesus demonstrates the generous heart that the Church should have for reaching others.

The Cure for Materialism

Week 4 • April 29, 2018 • Blake Pitts

Money is a controversial topic. But the truth is, money is a disciple-making issue. Money can stand between us and God, and can steal our eternal perspective, forcing us to focus on material things. Go and Do Likewise

Week 3 • April 22, 2018 • Blake Pitts

Jesus demonstrates to us that being the Church means we are called to serve others in need. It doesn't matter how big or small the need, how they got there, or what it will cost us, serving others is the only way we can show the love of Jesus to this world.

From Kirche To Ekklesia

Week 2 • April 15, 2018 • Blake Pitts

We get the word 'church' from the German term 'kirche,' which denotes the physical building of praise or 'House of The Lord.' In Jesus' eyes, His Church is much more of a movement than a monument. For us, that requires action; to do what He's called us to do - to go from sitting to serving.

Clear Vision

Week 1 • April 8, 2018 • Blake Pitts

In order to accomplish the purpose God has given us, it's important that we maintain a clear vision. Allowing our eyes to get sidetracked can result in us turning inward instead of outward.
