Reformation Day

October 30, 2022 • Matt Jeffreys • Romans 1:14–17

Today’s message introduces a series on the Reformation. In the 16th century, events unfolded that reshaped faith and the church, paving the way for the Protestant Reformation. Martin Luther ignited this movement by nailing his 95 statements to the church door in 1517, leading to his excommunication and the burning of the decree. Luther's profound transformation through faith in Christ, his emphasis on scripture over indulgences, and the birth of Protestantism through the five Solas are significant aspects of this historical period. Join us as we discover what we can learn and apply from this period of history to influence our modern walk of faith.
