A Church for the Task

Great Commission Living

April 10, 2022 • Vlad Baraniuk • Matthew 28:16–20, Revelation 7:9–12

Great Commission fulfillment is the responsibility of every local church, and every believer has a part to play

• Are you willing to accept and live under the authority of Jesus?
• Are you willing to be a disciple of Jesus AND make other disciples?
• Are you willing to be baptized?
• Are you willing to be taught the commands of Jesus AND teach others?
• Does this encourage you to pursue this task?

Biblical Responses

• Pray fervently
• Give sacrificially
• Go intentionally

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS
Use these questions in your family, small group, discipleship group, etc. as a way to reflect and be obedient to the Word this week. The first and last questions are geared toward family discussion and are reflected in the Kids Sermon Notes.
• Who is the Great Commission for? Does the Great Commission involve you and your family?
• Why is the idea of Jesus’ authority a big deal? What area of your life is hard to give authority to Jesus?
• What does the command to “make disciples” look like for you practically? What new opportunities can you take advantage of? Be specific with your answers.
• Reflecting on Matthew 28:16-20, what are you praying for this week? Who has God laid on your heart to reach out to share the Gospel with?
• Read Revelation 7:9-12 together as a group or family. Ask God to continue to give your heart a burden for all people everywhere to know Jesus.
