Milo's Run 2022 is our 2nd annual run in honor of our Grandson, Christopher Milo Moore. In 2021 our son & daughter in law; Christopher & Nahomi Moore were transported to DCH with Milo where he was diagnosed with a very rare type of cancer; rhabdoid tumor, only about 50 children get diagnosed worldwide each year. He fought like a superhero for 3 months and 23 days. On September 23rd, surrounded by family and with a smile on his face, he got his healing in Heaven. We run this race in memory of our #mightymilo. During this time, we met many courageous families who were fighting through similar cancer diagnosis. Milo's Run is to establish a fund through LIVINGWAY CARES; a non-profit 501C3, to help families of South Texas with a monetary gift to offset some of the huge expenses they have as they go through this process. Last year's run raised over $30,000 and has blessed a numerous amount of RGV families throughout their journey with gas money, housing, food gift cards, etc. These families have become close & dear to our hearts. We pray that this year's event will bless more families and raise awareness to the community. Although Milo is no longer with us, we know that he is rejoicing and is cancer free, looking down on us & smiling with pride for all that this run has accomplished.
