The purpose of this paper is to serve as an introduction to demonology, in order for this to be explored as a topic for discussion and consideration of our doctrine. Issues under consideration will include whether ‘demon possession’ is a helpful term, given it is not a biblical one; and the extent of any vulnerability of Christians
and unbelievers to demonic influence, pursuant to identifying distinctions which could be legitimately drawn between them. Such distinctions may prove useful in determining our approach to helping both.
