2 Samuel 11 finds our beloved King David in a bad place. He has covered up adultery and conspired to murder Uriah the Hittite. Some time has passed and perhaps David thought everything was ok. But God loves him too much to leave him at that place. So God pursues the king. Grace-Grace. Psalm 51:6 Behold, you delight in truth in the inward being, and you teach me wisdom in the secret heart.

King David knew the sting of betrayal intimately, many times. This Sundays message we find the king on the other side. We tend to think, “I would never do that”! Until we do. If we’re not careful, we can replicate upon others the hurt that was done to us. 1 Corinthians 10: 12 Therefore let anyone who thinks that he stands take heed lest he fall. 13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
