The claim in this study is that our context is becoming increasingly similar to the context found in Roman Corinth. Therefore, Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians is increasingly helpful for us in the church today. Like the church of Corinth we can be influenced by ideas that are not Christian. This study will examine two outside ideas shaping the church, how we view our “selves” and how we view our bodies. It will help to reorient us according to Paul’s teachings in 1st Corinthians.
