The Faith of Abraham: A Promise Fulfilled

October 20, 2024 • Pastor Mark Machen • Genesis 21:12, Galatians 3:13–28, Hebrews 11:1–11, Psalm 23, Genesis 3:15

Pastor Mark continues his series in the powerful testimonies of those who lived by faith. He dives deeper into Abraham's life, hitting the essence of faith, obedience, and a promise fulfilled.

Faith isn’t passive; it requires action, even when we don’t have all the details. Acting on the first word

from God means leaving behind what we know and stepping into something new. Don't let external pressures or others' decisions influence your path—stand your ground, grow in faith, and let God use you for His purpose. Sometimes, you're in a situation for just one person to come to Jesus through your example, and that's worth every challenge.

We also explore the importance of letting God be the architect of your life. It's not just about good ideas but about God building something meaningful. If you belong to Christ, you’re part of the promise of Abraham—blessings that are abundant, bountiful, and multiplied.

God's blessings don’t depend on the world’s economy. The most blessed people are those who take bold steps of faith, making courageous decisions while others play it safe. Obeying God opens the floodgates of blessings. Trust in God over natural means, because compromise leads to loss, but going with God always brings success.

Being blessed means more than increase—it's about multiplication and fulfilling God's promises in every area of life, from your marriage to your future. Your level of trust determines the flow of blessings in your life. Trust isn't just what you say—it’s shown in your decisions and actions. The degree to which you trust God will directly impact the blessings that flow into your life.

Learn how to open the floodgates of blessing by choosing faith, obedience, and unconditional love, just as Christ loves the church.
