Someone once said, “The truth will make you free, but first it will make you miserable.” When we stand in opposition to Jesus and His teaching, we will find ourselves at the cross-roads of discomfort or freedom. To choose freedom is to give in to the truth, it’s implications and requirements. To continue down the path of discomfort is to continue in our rejecting of truth. Should we continue further down this road, it leads to the hardness of heart. The Christian stands at this crossroad and points to Christ (Truth).
