In the Scriptures we see that God has designed and defined what marriage is. It is a holy institution where two people are united with Christ and one another. While this sounds romantic it is in fact a collision of two opposing forces now joined together to form one new partnership. Marriage by God’s design is the grace of living in the truest intimacy with another person that requires the deepest level of sacrificial love and faithfulness first to Christ and then to one another.
