Many of life’s challenges come down to two simple questions, “what’s my problem?” and “what power do I have to overcome it?” 1 John 4:1-6 unpacks a problem that the people of God were facing, as well as the power they possessed to overcome. Our modern setting has similar problems. Thankfully, followers of Jesus have the same power to overcome.

So often as Christians, we live from a place of defeat and uncertainty. The final verses of 1 John, implore us that when we believe in Jesus, there are things that we can know to be certain. When we take on the confidence of the King, we can experience a victorious life.
