The Bible then is not just any book, but the eternal Word of God that is essential in our spiritual formation. The aim of the Christian life is not to do “Christian things” but to be transformed into the likeness of Christ. The Scriptures invite us to see what it means to live this life and points us to the One who empowers us

People of the Book | Week 2 God has always desired for humanity to encounter Him. He has revealed Himself through creation, the written word, and the Living Word (Christ). The Scriptures then are the inspired Word of God, given to us that we might have an encounter with Him and know His voice in our lives. the Bible is the story of God (not us) and in it we see the unfolding nature of God, ultimately pointing to Christ through whom we encounter God and experience His grace in our lives.
