Today Kids will Learn that:

•God loves his children beyond our imagination, and nothing can stop his love.
•Jesus knew we would sin, and he still died for us because of his great love for us!
•God doesn’t like it when we sin, and so through the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives, God helps us to sin less and become more like Jesus.
•God doesn’t give his children the ultimate punishment when they do bad things because Jesus died for our sins – he took the punishment.

Before You Begin:

Read the Bible story (Luke 22:54-62; 24:36-53) and the Memory Verse (Romans 5:8).

Other verses for your study: Exodus 34:6-7, Daniel 9:9, Luke 15:2, Luke 22:34, Romans 8:38-39, Hebrews 12:6-7.

Before the Video:

SAY: Who remembers what we talked about last week? (Remind kids to look at last week’s banner.) Yes, we talked about how God is with us when we’re afraid and wants us to trust him in scary situations. Do you remember other things we’ve learned about God? Yes, he’s powerful and trustworthy and eternal and the Creator of all!

SAY: Do you think someone so amazing would still love us when we do bad things? Do you think he still wants to be
our Father when we disobey him and don’t love him or his children? Lots of people have this question! Clive and Ian are going to hear this question in our video today. Let’s see what they find out.
