December 18, 2022 • Pastor Jamey Bridges
We hope you enjoy our 4th message in our King Jesus series! Pastor Jamey talks about God as the Everlasting Father and what that means for each of us.
Pastor Jamey reminds us that, “God sees you where you are and welcomes you home.”
Join us during our Christmas Eve service where we discuss Isaiah 9:6-7. As Isaiah describes the future Messiah, he uses words such as Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. We discover how God can bring us peace, and how we need to follow in His footsteps to also bring peace to others. This happens when we allow the peace that comes from Christ to rule in our hearts (Col 3;15).
It used to be that society and culture looked to the church for guidance and wisdom. They valued what the church had to say. Culture is different today. It is the cancellation culture, one that expects silence and suppression. But Jesus and the message of the Gospel cannot be cancelled. From the beginning of Jesus’s life on earth, everything about Him was done in power; life changing power. His power was demonstrated throughout His life and it continues to permeate history today. His powerful story must be told, and we must figure out how to turn our culture and society back to the church for their answers.
We hope you enjoy our 2nd message in our King Jesus series for Christmas! Listen in as pastor Jamey dives in to what “Wonderful Counselor” means for each and everyone of us and how we can hold stedfast onto the promises of God who is our Wonderful Counselor. Pastor Jamey reminds us that, “The Wonderful Counselor knows our needs before we even ask Him.”
