Removing Bitterness

December 17, 2023 • Brandon Hall • Ephesians 4:31–32, Hebrews 12:14–15

Bitterness affects many people, and is something we don't easily identify in ourselves. The holidays tend to amplify whatever emotional state we are in, so bitterness can be a more significant issue for many during this season. Listen in to this message from the "Travel Light" Christmas message series as Pastor Brandon teaches on the problem of bitterness and how to remove any root of bitterness from our lives. We can't control what other people do, but we can control how we respond. Jesus Christ Himself gives us powerful resources to respond with compassion and forgiveness.

Letting God Forgive Your Past

December 31, 2023 • Daniel Carlisle • Luke 22:61–62, John 21:15–17

The concluding message in the Travel Light series shared by Daniel Carlisle looks at the story of Peter and his transformative relationship with Christ. After denying Christ three times at the critical hour before His crucifixion, Peter wept bitterly and returned to a life of fishing where he started. But Christ came to restore Peter in a beautiful way. If we can't let go of our past, we can't grab hold of our future. And although we can't change our past, God can change our future!

Destroy Distractions

December 10, 2023 • Brandon Hall • Luke 10:38–42, 1 Corinthians 7:35

The story of Mary and Martha from Luke 10:38-42 shows us some powerful things about Jesus, and some freeing things for those who follow Him. Often it is not the bad things that distract us, but too many good things in unbalanced quantities. Jesus invites us to destroy our distractions, focus on the best, and listen to God's voice. Listen to this message by Pastor Brandon Hall from the Travel Light message series as we anticipate the celebration of Christ's birth this Christmas.
