The Story Isn't Over

What a beautiful Easter morning! Yet, on the backside of this beautiful day, there are those who are broken, grieving and feel little hope. So where do we turn when heartbreak comes our way? Where do we find peace when we’re feeling none? Where do we find hope when it feels as if the bottom has dropped out of our lives? The answer is found in the real meaning of Easter.

The Unexpected King

2,000 years ago in Jerusalem the crowds cheered the entrance of their long awaited messiah. He was a miracle worker who they believed had come to free them from the oppressive rule of the Romans. Was Jesus the king that was to come to restore Israel? Sadly, the same voices that hailed him as king would in a few days claim they had no king but Caesar. The shouts of "Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!" would give way to cries of "Crucify Him!" They loved the idea of a king, but one that would meet their own agenda. Jesus wasn't meeting their misguided expectations. Today, we will discuss the events of Christ's Triumphal Entry and see the importance of hailing him as King everyday.

The Real Meaning Of Easter

Many people spend their whole lives looking to philosophy, psychology, education, religion, or the stuff of earth to fill the emptiness in their lives. However, this morning we will see that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ from the grave provide the only hope for our experiencing true peace within.
