Not since the Civil War has our nation appeared to be so divided. Cultural, religious, and political differences seem to permeate every aspect of our society. Sadly, the Church has become polarized as well. Now more than ever, the Church must unite and fulfill the role given to us by Christ. We are His body, His bride. May we indeed come together, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and show the world the truth of the Gospel.
Despair to Hope
January 24, 2021 • Steve Forrester
These days many are struggling to find hope. Where do we go when we start to despair? Real hope is so much more than worldly wishful thinking. It is found in Christ alone. May God help us be people that show a despairing world what real hope is. Let us live each day anchored in Jesus.
Confusion to Clarity
January 17, 2021 • Greg Keyton
The world today is filled with confusion. So many are blind to the truth of God’s word, looking for answers in all the wrong places. The “wisdom” of this world now calls evil good and good evil. As believers, we must not be caught up in the confusion of these days but live in the clarity of God’s truth.
Fear to Faith
January 10, 2021 • Mark LeHew
Our world is filled with fear, and the only remedy for it is genuine faith. Where have we placed our trust? This week we will focus on the importance of walking by faith in Christ. When we walk with Him, we can genuinely face anything.
Dear 2020
January 3, 2021 • Steve Forrester
2020 is over. It was a year many walked through the valley of fear, confusion, discouragement, loneliness, and sadness. The challenges of 2020 taught many lessons. As the world looks forward to 2021, hoping things will soon be better, we, as followers of Jesus Christ, realize that genuine hope is more than worldly wishful thinking. As Christians, we must recognize that it is momentary no matter what we face here and now. Let us fix our minds on what is real and eternal. May this new year find us focused intently on the Lord as we walk into the future together.
Dear 2020 Bumper
2020 has been quite a year. We’ve all faced adversity one way or another. We wonder where God is during all of this chaos. We can get angry and frustrated, even question our faith at certain times. But we must remember, the birth of Jesus seemed chaotic and messy, but yet it was God's plan all along. Sometimes, things in our lives are out of our control. But we must put our faith in the God who is never surprised but seemingly unexpected circumstances. We must find peace in His love and mercy. We can rest knowing that God is in control no matter the situation.
