BLT Update - May 5, 2019

May 5, 2019 • Steve Forrester

Today, we want to provide you with an update of our Building Life Together Capital Campaign. First, we thank God for His goodness! He has given us a vision of a multipurpose facility of our own to minister to this community just two miles from our location here at Plum Point Elementary. He has granted us favor with our local leaders and our project has been approved, a process that took 18 months.

We also want to thank you for your faithfulness! Since launching this campaign on 9/16/18 we have received 62 pledges to pray. We ask that you keep praying. It’s the most important thing! This project and our ministry will only move forward as we pray! We have also received and 59 pledges from individuals/families totaling $226,000. To date, 54% or $123,000 of those pledges have been received. That’s truly amazing!

We have also been blessed by 16 additional individuals/families who have not pledged but have elected to support the building of our future base of operations. That’s a total of 85 individuals/families that are participating! Thank you for your generosity!

If you have financially supported Life Church this year, you should receive via email/U.S. mail a giving statement through 4/30. If the U.S. mail version hasn’t arrived it’s on its way. Please check your statement carefully. It is very important that if you are giving to the Building Life Together Fund that you mark your online payment, check, or envelope as such. Funds that are not marked go to our General Fund. If you have made a pledge, but have failed to mark those funds in such a way, please let us know at info@lifechurchcalvert.com. We will adjust your giving statement accordingly. Also, if you have been giving to the Building Life Together Fund and have not filled out a pledge card, please consider doing so. The pledges received help us provide information to our lender about the numbers of people supporting the project and help us make better projections for the future. Please note: WE NEVER SHARE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION! We simply provide total numbers of participants and pledge amounts.

To date, we have invested nearly $200,000 from our general fund towards this project. These are hard costs for our property development including among other things feasibility and traffic studies, engineering, architectural planning, and county/state fees.
As of May 5, 2019, the Building Life Together fund sits at $395,000. We have reached 70% or our goal needed to get this project underway!

Since the beginning of 2019, we have averaged nearly $20,000 a month for our Building Life Together Fund. If this average holds, we are projecting to reach 100% of our goal by the end of THIS YEAR!

Imagine for a moment if we could reach that goal even sooner! With some additional pledges/gifts over the next few months, we believe we can reach this goal. IF you have not participated with us so far, would you consider doing so?

If you want to know more about how you can get involved, please pick up our project information available in the foyer. If you would like to speak with us further, we’d be happy to do so!

Here at Life Church, we don’t beg for money. We don’t pass an offering plate. We will not petition you weekly for funds. We believe that if God has captured your heart, He has every part of you. You will honor him with your time, talents, and finances. Would you prayerfully consider how you can partner together with us in the coming months! Thanks and God bless YOU!
