Build

Build buildings & structures

February 26, 2023 • Ps Anthony Liebenberg • Nehemiah 1, Nehemiah 2, Nehemiah 4

Before a builder starts building a house, he or she needs a clear idea of the end goal. So we also need to know what we want to build and make sure that it is in line with God’s will and that it is always covered by prayer. Then we will know what to prepare for, expect and focus on. Citing the example of Nehemiah and his resolve to rebuild his city, Pastor Anthony Liebenberg reminds us how important it is to keep our focus, despite sometimes being discouraged or even mocked. Not only did Nehemia believe God for his city, his church and his community, but also for God’s provision for his own home.

Build People

February 19, 2023 • Megan McCleland • Nehemiah 9

Have you ever felt insignificant or wondered whether God has a plan for your life? God assures us that He does. Not only does He care about you personally but He has designed a specific part for you to play in His kingdom, so that you can make and be the difference in your family and your community. Looking at the example of Nehemiah, Pastor Megan McCleland in this message encourages us to faithfully play our part, to build our lives on the foundation of Jesus Christ, and to build and care for people so that we can see communities restored.

Values

February 12, 2023 • Ps Bruce McCleland • Matthew 6:19–21, Matthew 28:19–20, Ephesians 5:25–28, Nehemiah 8:5–9

WHAT IS DETERMINING WHAT YOU VALUE? Many of us learn our values from our parents, our peers, our family cultures and our beliefs. Similarly, our emotions, experiences and accomplishments in this life play an important role in determining what we hold dear. In this message, Pastor Bruce McCleland encourages us to let the things of heaven determine our values, and to let the ways of heaven determine our ways on earth. We need to have our eyes set on eternity.

Vision

February 5, 2023 • Ps Bruce McCleland • Nehemiah 1, Nehemiah 2

WHAT IS YOUR VISION? As we accelerate into the new year, we need to be cognisant of the path we’re putting our energy into. Whose vision are we building? Are we following God’s vision? In this message Pastor Bruce McCleland challenges us to check our vision with God’s vision. He explains what God’s vision will require from us, and reminds us that a vision alone is a vision postponed.

Vision Sunday

January 29, 2023 • Ps Anthony Liebenberg • John 6:57, John 20:21, Matthew 28:18–20, Matthew 16:18, 1 Corinthians 3:9

Today message by Ps Anthony Liebenberg is a day of celebration, a day of acknowledging all that the Lord has done and to look ahead.   Jesus said many powerful things, but in this message, Ps Anthony Liebenberg focuses on two sentences that have powerful consequences.   Firstly, in… John 6:57 NIV Jesus said… “Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me.”   Secondly, in… John 20:21 NIV “Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.””   “As the father has sent me, I am sending you.”   This sending, is clarified in…   Matthew 28:18-20 NIV “Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.””   “Go into all the world….” Listen to this message to understand more of the vision of the church for 2023 and how we are part of it.
