King of Hearts - Week 2

February 18, 2024 • Pete Jankowski

In this episode of the podcast, we continue our series "King of Hearts" and dive into the concept of what it means for Jesus to be the King of our hearts. We explore the story in Mark 11 & 12, where Jesus enters Jerusalem and encounters a fig tree that has leaves but no fruit. This tree serves as a symbol for the nation of Israel and its leadership, who have the appearance of fruitfulness but lack true heart transformation. Jesus then proceeds to enter the temple and shuts down the marketplace that had taken over the court of the Gentiles, the designated space for people from all nations to seek God. Through this story, we learn about the importance of having Jesus as the true King of our hearts and the implications it has for our lives. Tune in to gain insight into why Jesus took such actions and what it means for us today.
