Whenever there's a circumstance in life where we need answers, we do anything to rationalize it. We do OUR best effort to take control of a situation, however there are times where God is calling us to trust Him. When Lazarus had died, Mary of Bethany knew the right things, she had a right understanding of God's ultimate plan, but it was nowhere near to what Jesus had in store.

Because we are being discipled and making disciples, hearing God’s Word and the Holy Spirit speaking through a brother or sister in Christ is so bonding and inspirational. This way of hearing God also encourages each one of us to use the gifts God has given us to speak encouragement and affirmation to others – believers or unbelievers.

Hearing God’s voice is absolutely important to grow and flourish as a follower of Jesus. Yes, the Bible is the primary and foundational means of knowing God; to listen and obey His Word. But Jesus clearly told us when He left the planet, that another would come and lead us into all truth. He was speaking of the Holy Spirit. Hearing and obeying the Holy Spirit is vital both in our relationship to God and keeping us on mission in the Kingdom of God.
