Infinite Blessings Series

November 25, 2018 • Lead Pastor Tim Moen

1 Timothy 6:10 “ For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.

An attitude - Is a settled way of thinking about something that is reflected in
our behavior.

“The Love of Money” is an attitude... Of how we think about it and our behaviors in dealing with it.

Matthew 6:19-21 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.

Philippians 4:19 “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”

1 Timothy 6:17-20

17 “As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy.

18 They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share,

19 thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.

20 O Timothy, guard the deposit entrusted to you. Avoid the irreverent babble and contradictions of what is falsely called “knowledge,”

Proverbs 21:20
“The wise store up choice food and olive oil, but fools gulp theirs down.”

Proverbs 21:5
“The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as hasted leads to poverty.”

James 4:13-15
13 “Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”—

14 yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.

15 Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.”

Philippians 4:19
“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”

Hebrews 13:5 (NIV)
“Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, ‘Never will I leave you. Never will I forsake you.’”

Psalm 136:1-3
1 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever.

2 Give thanks to the God of gods,
for his steadfast love endures forever.

3 Give thanks to the Lord of lords,
for his steadfast love endures forever;

2 Corinthians 9:6-7
6 “The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.

7 Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

Luke 6:38
“give, and it will be given to you. Good
measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”

Having studied a lot of “personal development”... Many of the teachers of personal development and success... Will tell you the importance of being generous givers.
