The Cornerstone

Revival Weekend

June 8, 2019 • Evangelist Greg Hubbard

Ephesians 2:19-22 NIV

“Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.”

1 Peter 2:4-7 NIV

“As you come to him, the living Stone- rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him- you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For in Scripture it says: “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.” Now toy who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe, “The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,”

Matthew 7:24-27 NIV

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

1 Corinthians 3:10-11 NIV

“By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else's building on it. But each one should build with care. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ."
