03.24.24

March 24, 2024 • Matthew 21:8–11

Missionary to Cuba, Pastor Yoel Rodriguez brought to us a powerful word as we kicked off Holy Week with a look at the story of Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem. We opened up to Matthew 21:8-11 and read about the large crowd that followed Him into town that day, and Pastor Yoel challenged us with an important question: "In which group are you?" If you were there that day, would you have been found serving or would you be found not following Jesus?

July 11, 2021 • Pastor Michael Chandler

It was an honor to have Pastor Michael Chandler in the house yesterday to share the Word and did he share a good one! Go is ready to the do the miraculous in our lives! There isn’t a formula to make miracles happen, rather we just have to be expectant for God to move! When we have faith that God is who He says He is and that He does what He says He’ll do, miracles are right there bursting at the seams! Are you waiting for a miracle today? What miracles has God done in your life lately?! #libertyobx

Who Touched Me?

July 18, 2021 • Pastor John Conway

What a blessing to have Pastor John Conway in the house to share the Word yesterday! Sharing out of Mark 5, Pastor John shared with us just much an example of faith the woman with the issue of blood was! She was persistent enough in her faith to make sure that she got to JESUS because He was her only hope! May we be like her, having the faith and the expectation that Jesus is going to show up and do the miraculous! #libertyobx

Two Chairs 4-10-22

April 10, 2022 • Pastor Michael Chandler • Romans 12:2, Job 42:5, Matthew 6:25, Romans 8:14–17, John 14:18

🪑 TWO CHAIRS 🪑 Which chair are you sitting in? The chair of an orphan, which highlights your insecurities, reminds you you’re not good enough, & lies to you • O R • Are you sitting in the chair of adoption? Which says that you are a child of God, you are loved & accepted regardless of people or circumstances, & speaks the truth of God’s Word to your soul. God wants His children to live in freedom. But it is our choice to sit in the chair of adoption. To sit in the chair of freedom. To declare the truth of God’s Word in our life. Joshua told us to “choose this day whom you will serve—as for me & my house we will serve the Lord”. So choose this day what chair you will sit in & from what mindset you will live in. Freedom & adoption are right on the other side of that choice. Choose Jesus. Choose freedom. Choose adoption. Choose life. So good to have Pastor @michaelchandler in the house on Sunday with a timely word from God! If you missed the sermon from Sunday, visit the LIBERTYOBX app or website to watch now! #libertyobx

Hope that Remains 4-3-22

April 3, 2022 • Pastor Aaron Kennedy • 1 Thessalonians 4:13–14, Proverbs 13:12, 1 Samuel 1:3–8, Hebrews 6:13–19, 2 Corinthians 1:20

Where do you place your hope? Hebrews tells us that we have this hope as an anchor for our soul, firm and secure. It is a choice that we make every day & the posture that we as Christians are called to. Hope chooses to agree with God. Hope has a sound, & it is the sound of worship. Hope has a confession, & it is the confession of the Word of God. Our hope is decided in the battle of perseverance & if we let it, it can lead us to the One who has the answers. If you are waiting on God, if you have had your hope deferred, don’t let it discourage you, but rather let it push you further into the arms of Jesus. Keep hoping. Keep trusting. Keep worshiping. Keep confessing the Word of God. Keep seeking Jesus. What a blessing to have such a timely word from Pastor Aaron Kennedy on Sunday! Out of Egypt I Called My Son 11-28-21

November 28, 2021 • Elder Bill Whamond • Proverbs 21:1, Acts 17, Matthew 2, Hosea 11, 1 Corinthians 10

God is always calling us. Just like He called Abraham out of Ur to go to Canaan. Just like He called the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt & into the Promised Land. Just like He called Mary & Joseph out of hiding in Egypt & into a plan bigger than they could imagine. Just like He called the disciples out of their ordinary lives & into a life of adventure. Just like He called Jesus out of the grave after being crucified & into resurrection life. The call & invitation is the same for us today. To COME & SEE what the Lord has done! And then to GO & TELL so that everyone would hear the call & accept the invitation to partake in the abundant life that Jesus offers! #libertyobx

Grace & Peace

September 5, 2021 • Elder Bill Whamond • 2 Corinthians 12:7–12, Acts 14:22, 1 Corinthians 15:10, Matthew 5:45, Psalm 145:9

Grace & Peace—mentioned at the beginning of pretty much every letter in the New Testament. This tells us that these two things are of so much importance to the life & character of the believer. The grace & peace of Christ is an active, transforming, obedience-inducing power that is available through His Holy Spirit, & as imperfect humans who fail every day, we need His grace & peace to sustain us & flow through us daily! What a miracle that we serve a God who’s joy it is to give grace & peace to His children! #libertyobx

Camp Sunday

July 25, 2021 • Pastor John Hobbs • 2 Timothy 2:10–13, 2 Timothy 1:10–12

It was a beautiful day at the house yesterday! Pastor John reminded us that God is bigger than our problems and that He is faithful! No matter what we are waking through, He is able to handle it and able to do exceedingly and abundantly more than we could ask, think, or imagine! God is always in the midst of it all with us, so we are never alone! Don’t be afraid to give everything to Him today! #libertyobx
