It is such a treasure to look back and reflect on the rich legacy that has come before us, but it's also important for us to not just reflect on memories of the past, but recognize that we are carrying a passing baton of faith which we must steward well for the generations to come!

This weekend, Senior Pastor Scott Hobbs left us with some powerful scriptures and key points so that we might be right on track during this vital time in the history of Liberty but more importantly, the history of our world. We are all commissioned to take this inheritance given to us from the Father above and steward it well! It's not about the programs, or the building, titles, or positions! The call is simple: FROM GOD TO US TO BE GIVEN AWAY! We are ALL meant to Love God and Love People!

It is very fitting that the week following the celebration of 50 years of Liberty would be Youth Sunday, a week where our Rise Youth take over the service as they lead us in worship, prayer, and the Word. Youth minister Josh Heuneman shared his powerful testimony. It was a Sunday full of laughs, love, and testimonies of His goodness!

This weekend, Liberty celebrated their 50th Anniversary Celebration, a time to honor those men and women who in faith came together to be apart of the beginning story of Liberty and also celebrate the vision of where God is leading each of us! We all have a story and it's important that we recognize the value of sharing our story of faith to those around us. We are all responsible to proclaim the amazing deeds of God from generation to generation!

God has a plan and a purpose for your life. You are created for His masterpiece. If you could only see how God sees you and your journey, you would recognize that He has SO MUCH MORE for you. Pastor Katherine Hopkins brought the Word this weekend with an inspirational and challenging message encouraging us to seek His counsel for what we are leaving for the generation to follow. We have been passed the baton and the way that the baton is passed makes all the difference in how we finish the race. What is Jesus handing to you? When you recognize of the value of His inheritance for you, you can't wait to pass on this amazing gift you've been given.
