Jesus' prayer in the garden of Gethsemane is both instructive and inspiring. We see him stand firm through trial as his disciples falter and fail. Through his actions, we learn to pray to be prepared for temptation, persist through pain, and to be submissive with confidence before our Father.

The last Supper was a meal shared between betrayal and abandonment. Through this meal, we see Jesus giving himself not only to His disciples but for his disciples. As we gather around the Lord’s supper, we are to remember his sacrifice, receive his blessing, and long for his return.
