I did on my motorcycle, and the reason was because the gas gauge did not function properly to tell me I was almost out of gas! Fortunately, it happened in a neighborhood right in front of a man’s house where the man was working in his garage and had a gas can right there to help me out! But on your spiritual journey, do you have some kind of “gas gauge” to let you know that you are running on empty but may not realize it? That is the theme of our Revival this year, and I want us to see how we might examine ourselves as Paul said to the Church in 2 Corinthians 13:5: “Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves.” We can examine ourselves by holding up the Bible as a mirror and see if our lives are being reflected back in what the Bible describes that a Believer should look like.
