Heroes are easy to admire in the Bible. They’re the ones God wants us to be like. Sure, they have problems here and there, but they always get right with God eventually. Many of them dealt with the struggle of sin and defeat but God redeemed them, as God does us. The Bible also has some people that started good and went bad. And then, there are those who just seemed to stay bad. There is plenty to learn from all of these people – what to stay away from, what God can do with us flawed individuals, and how we relate to spiritual defeat ourselves. To this end, you’ve given us your “Top Ten Biggest Sinners in the Bible” and we’re going to dig into their stories this summer. Let’s extract some good lessons from the bad and redeemed examples.
