Luke 22:14 - 20 Depending on a variety of factors, our experience of Communion can be distant and impersonal, a unique opportunity to draw nearer to the Lord or somewhere in-between. We look to the story of the Last Supper and explore God's desire to know us and be known by us in an intimate and personal way. How does our knowledge of God's heart for us impact how we go to Him in Communion? And how can we be forever changed by an intimate relationship with a loving God?

2 Cor 5:17-20 As Christians we are called to impact the world for God. He changes the world through us. We should live every day in such a way that we can look back and be proud of the legacy we are leaving. We should treat every day as a new opportunity. An opportunity to impact those around us for the better.

Psalm 133 Dietrich Bonhoeffer wrote “Christianity means community through Jesus Christ and in Jesus Christ. No Christian community is more or less than this. Whether it is a brief, single encounter or the daily fellowship of years, Christian community is only this. We belong to one another only through and in Jesus Christ.” At Lakeside, we are a community in Christ. Community is a necessary part of our lives, but it is also takes work – each person is taken seriously; we trust one another; we depend on others; we are compassionate with others; we rejoice with others. Community takes effort and sacrifice, but it makes life delightful.
