The ancient Hebrew Prophet Joel spoke to a nation morally asleep at the wheel of life. In their prosperity they were becoming complacent, and God sent them a wake up call in the form of locusts. What unfolded in the aftermath of this devastating judgement was beautiful – they were given hope, a way to redemption, and grace. A strangely haunting and yet hopeful message of forgiveness and God’s unremitting love leads us up to the cross and Easter!
