Pride can lead to the distortion of reality for a person, and this can have devastating consequences in relationships. The bible is full of warnings about pride. Come and explore the teachings of Proverbs and the Apostle Paul concerning the perils of pride. To be forewarned to be forearmed against this seemingly little thing that can slip into our lives unnoticed and leave behind damaged relationships in its wake.

There are words that we can’t unhear, and sometimes the words “I’m sorry” can’t make things better. There are actions we can’t undo. Life can be hard and even frustrating, no one is immune from feeling angry from time to time. We must know how to handle anger by recognizing its destructive power and harnessing our emotions. Thank God for grace! Thank God for compassion and the fruits of the Holy Spirit in our lives that not only enable us to control ourselves but also to forgive those who have hurt us. There is hope in Christ for all of us. Come and see as we wrap up this timely series called Snagged: It’s the little things that get us!

What can take all the good things in your life (family, friends, great job, and peace) and utterly trash them leaving you feeling empty, angry, or worse – willing to end it all? Rather than focus on the fruit, we’re looking for the roots of this terrible fruit. We’ll go after that thing that gives you a thirst you can never quench, a hunger you can never satisfy, and rains down shame in your mind. There is something we all deal with and lays in wait for us. There is something that will destroy your life and the lives of those you love and it’s closer to you than you think. This little thing will rain down pain if left unattended. Know someone who needs hope, encouragement, and the love of God? Maybe you?
