In Remembrance: Understanding Communion

Part 5 - Why We Call it Good News

October 1, 2023 • Vince DiPaola • 1 Corinthians 11:17–34

The heart of the Christian message is the gospel. The gospel is literally, “The Good News” message that God wants everyone to hear and accept because it provides a way for people to be right with God through faith in His Son Jesus Christ. While the gospel is both important to understand and essential to live out, not enough people have a grasp on both of these important aspects of the gospel. In this series, we’ll explain what the gospel is (and isn’t), how responding to it is more than just a passport to heaven but a power for living, how to share it in ways that help people embrace it, and how God calls us to remember it regularly through communion. The gospel is Good News and the more we live for it, the more we’ll realize just how good it really is!
