Hell On Earth: The Final Seven Years

Part 3

October 17, 2021 • Vince DiPaola • Matthew 4:15–25, 2 Thessalonians 2, Revelation 6

So many people say things like, “I’ve just gone through hell these past few days”, or “life is hell”, or worse tell people to go to this aforementioned place. I wonder if they realize what hell is really like and how what we’re experiencing today in the world is nothing compared to the worst period of time that will ever inflict the earth. That time is called the Tribulation, a seven year period in which you could accurately say that it will be hell on earth. The Bible tells us that nothing will be as bad as this period of time. You can read about it in Revelation 6-19, that infamous last book of the Bible.

During this message, I will share how this period begins, what the first half of the seven years is like, what changes at the 3.5 year mark, and how the last 3.5 years bring both difficult times and the return of Jesus. You’ll learn about the “mark of the beast” and so much more. In fact, if you’re a Christian, the Bible mentions you and what you’ll do at the end of this 7 year period. Let’s just say that nothing cooler could possibly happen in your life!

I want you to be prepared for this difficult time in history.

How Close Are We?

October 3, 2021 • Vince DiPaola • 2 Timothy 3, Matthew 24:4–14, 1 Timothy 4

How close are we to the end? This is a challenging question to answer, but the Bible gives us enough information to start to answer this question. Using Jesus’ famous Olivet Discourse (Matthew 24) along with the Apostle Paul’s teaching on the last days (1Timothy 4 and 2Timothy 3), I will share some of the signs of the end so that we can get a sense of how close we are to the end. And most importantly, what God wants us to do as we get closer and closer to the day it all ends.

How The End Begins

We will continue our new series by looking at “How The End Begins”. That title is a little tricky, so to clarify we’ll be studying what the Bible says about the very first event that begins the end of the world as we know it. What is it? It is the Rapture, a very misunderstood moment in history when the world will change in an instant. How will the world change instantly? What is the rapture? Who will it affect? When will it happen with respect to the other events described in the future and is it different than the return of Jesus to earth? We’ll answer all these questions and more by looking at key passages on this fascinating, world-altering event.

What Happens When We Die?

October 24, 2021 • Vince DiPaola • 1 Corinthians 3:11–15, Revelation 20:7–15

What happens when we die? People have so many different ideas in answer to this question. Some people think that once we die we simply cease to exist, but the Bible paints a much different picture of what happens, starting with the fact that all people are eternal beings that will exist forever in one of two realities. Many Christians do not know much more beyond this. When we look at the Bible, we learn so much more about the time when we will all face a judgment after we die. It answers questions like: What happens when a Christian dies? Where are they judged? How are they judged? What is the criteria used for their judgment? What WON’T be judged? What rewards will follow? Additionally, what happens when someone who is not a Christian dies?
