Discover Your Destiny

How To Find Your Reason For Living

June 23, 2019 • Bishop Oriel M. Ballano

The greatest tragedy in life is missing the reason you're alive. Your situation is temporary, but your purpose is permanent. You need to find your new beginning, allow Jesus into your life, and follow Jesus into your destiny.

Bishop Oriel is the founder and senior pastor of a church of over 20,000 people in Manila, Philippines. In his nation, he also oversees more than 6,000 churches that reach more than a quarter of a million people. His ministry grew to this size from just 200 people in 2003, and in this podcast, he shares that it all starts with discovering your destiny.

Key Passage: Luke 5:1-11

4 Principles To Discover Your Destiny: #1. Find the day of your new beginning, #2. Open your world to Jesus, #3. Allow Jesus to change your world, #4. Follow Jesus to change the world

Apply The Word:
Do you know your purpose in life? Do you ever feel like you don’t have enough? Do you follow the voices around or do you follow the voice of Jesus? Read the passage in Luke 5:1-11 and compare Peter’s reaction "at Your word I will…” to your own.

Consider the steps Peter took; #1. Let Jesus into your boat (your world), #2. Launch out into the deep, #3. Believe for a great harvest, #4. Receive a net-breaking, boat-sinking harvest, #5. Leave all to follow Jesus

Have you followed all of these steps? If you haven’t completed these steps, which one has been your stumbling block? Decide today to work through every step and note what that means for decisions you have to make and actions your have to take.

You need to recognise the emptiness of your life without Christ, then you need to let him in, and then you need to let him change your world. When Jesus sees our life empty, He doesn't want it to stay that way. He wants us to go out and have a full life. When Jesus changes your world, you discover your destiny.
