It is NOW time to begin celebrating the arrival of the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ. This is much more than just the celebration of a Baby in a manger or gifts under a tree – it is a reminder that on this day the Kingdom of God arrived! The feelings of hope, love, joy, and peace are the true gifts that Jesus brings into our lives. And yet we know that what we are experiencing now can’t compare to what is promised for our future!

“Faith goes up the stairs that love has built and looks out windows hope has opened.” Hope opens the opportunity for God’s promises to be seen but it is love that enables us to believe the promises are real and for us. This week we are reminded that God has given everyone the gift of Himself, which is the greatest gift in the world. The gift of the presence of Jesus in our life, to show His love to others.
