We're continuing to teach through the words of Jesus on the cross. His words offer the path to the real peace we’re looking for. This week, we're teaching about suffering.

All of us our chasing peace in one area or another in our life. We are all seeking that feeling that all is right with the word — less stress, conflict free, contentment. We often carry around shame, robbing ourselves of peace in our lives. Shame often stays in our life because we are unwilling to acknowledging our own needs. We are unwilling to admit that we need help and admit that we have limits. Sometimes the obstacle to our own peace is when we bury our own needs.

We are all chasing that feeling. The feeling that “all is right with the world.” Less stress. Stillness. Contentment. Whatever you call it, we are all Chasing Peace. But what if the way we are thinking about peace is all wrong? Through the words of Jesus on the cross, he offers us the path to the real peace.
