Meek is not a word we use a lot. It's not a characteristic in our culture we typically want to be associated with.
Most of the time, our response, especially in conflict, is to either fold or fight. Often our idea of meekness is to fold over and become a doormat—nothing of substance or backbone.
But Jesus calls us to a different way. Meekness is not weakness, it's strength under control.
