The Church At Sardis

March 13, 2022 • Revelation 12:10–11, 1 Thessalonians 5:2–3, Matthew 24:37–42, Revelation 3:1–6

The book of Revelation is all about Jesus. There are seven letters in the first three chapters of Revelation to seven churches. These letters are both timeless and timely. These letters are to specific churches about specific situations that we too can find ourselves in.

We can walk around going through the motions when we actually feel spiritually dead on the inside. In Revelation 3, in the letter to the Church at Sardis, we find believers who are in the same place.

We'll look at what Jesus had to say to the Church at Sardis and to us today about having true assurance in our salvation.

Stones of Remembrance

July 24, 2022 • Joshua 4, Jeremiah 29:11, 2 Corinthians 3:17, Psalm 16:11, Joshua 3:15–17

At different times in Scripture, God called His people to build an altar of remembrance. Six years ago, tragedy hit the Jones family but rather than pull back from their faith, they decided to lean in, recognize God's faithfulness, and build an altar of remembrance.

Bread of Life

July 10, 2022 • David Nasser • John 6:35

John 6:35 is one of the great "I AM" statements in the ministry of Jesus. "I am the Bread of Life" — a very simple truth, but it's the gospel in a nutshell. This statement follows one of Jesus’ most famous miracles — feeding of the 5,000. This miracle is not just about providing, it is designed to say something about Jesus and what he can offer us. Jesus did not come to meet our earthly desires; He came to change our desires.

Citizens of Heaven

July 3, 2022 • Galatians 5:1, Philippians 3:20, Philippians 3:17–21

This holiday weekend we will celebrate what it means to be a citizen of America, but as followers of Jesus, we are more than that — we are citizens of heaven. We'll talk about what it means to be a citizen of heaven and how we can have hope no matter what is going on around us.
