Message Summary: Ephesians 2:11-22 explores how God brought peace and reconciliation, to both Jew and Gentile, through what Jesus did on the cross. Through this passage, we contemplate what it was like to be excluded, appreciate what Jesus did for us by being and bringing peace, and participate in the work of reconciliation as part of God’s family. (Reconciliation = to bring together, the process of making consistent or compatible) Rabbi Barney Kasdan leads the Kehilat Ariel Messianic Synagogue here in San Diego and speaks frequently in various venues with the hope of helping the Jewish and Christian communities to better understand each other. This weekend he will give a message on Ephesians 2 about how Jews and Gentiles are connected together in Yeshua/Jesus. He has written numerous articles on Messianic Judaism as well as popular books. And as Ed says, “He’s an awesome surfer!" Bio: Rabbi Barney Kasdan was born and raised in Southern California and brought up in a secular Jewish family. In his college years he came to faith in Yeshua as Messiah. He has written numerous articles on Messianic Judaism and is the author of the popular books, including his latest "Rabbi Paul Enlightens the Ephesians on Walking with Messiah Yeshua." In addition to his congregational duties at Kehilat Ariel Messianic Synagogue, he speaks frequently in various venues about the importance of modern Israel and the Jewishness of Yeshua with the hope of helping the Jewish and Christian communities to better understand each other. Rabbi Barney and his wife Liz reside in San Diego and have four grown children.
