God Wants You to be Happy
April 28, 2019
In this message we explore the difference between happiness and Joy. Happiness is an emotion that is relatively fleeting and is often obtained in ways that don’t line up with God’s word. Many people in our generation are on a constant quest for happiness, continually seeking pleasure, and avoiding pain. When we seek to experience pleasure in sinful ways then God would actually prefer our obedience over our happiness. Joy on the other hand is a gift from God that transcends into even some of the most difficult trials we can experience in life. Joy is pleasure and happiness experienced within God’s perfect will for our lives. Might we seek Joy from God rather than the fleeting pleasures that the world has to offer.
