Running on Empty

This message concludes a 21 day season of prayer and fasting at Journey. Pastor Eric continues on using the premise that many of us are running on empty and the way to get refilled is to make the kingdom of God our primary concern. We are not unlike the Jewish people who wandered in the wilderness for 40 years on their way to the promised land. Staying connected to God through prayer and fasting is a great way to get refilled. In this message we relay the fact that God has always wanted to be with His people. On the exodus journey he chose to reside in the mobile tabernacle and revealed himself as a fire by night and cloud by day. There were 7 objects in that tabernacle that lead the priest from the outer courts and into the holy of holies. Those 7 objects relate closely to Jesus and His sacrifice for our sins that allow us to boldly approach the throne room of God in prayer. The service ended with corporate communion.
