Hebrews 10:32-39

3 important points for our church--
1. Simple moment of obedience led to a magnified voice - Confidence
2. Trust Sovereignty of God fueled their boldness - Faith
3. Spirit filled people were filled with the Spirit - Endurance

Acts 3:1-10
His healing made him a worshipper.
A confident worshipper.

1 John 2:28
Acts 4:7-13

Confidence/boldness comes through being with Jesus.

Being with Jesus - how?
1. Through his Word
(different vantage points: like Peter and John, like the man healed, like the friends praying for boldness)

2. Through song

3. Through someone else - (Peter and John were being God’s hands and feet and mouthpiece)
4. Through you joining Jesus in the ministry that he is doing
5. Through remembering - writer of hebrews - You endured!
Hebrews 10
32 But recall the former days when, after you were enlightened, you endured a hard struggle with sufferings, 33 sometimes being publicly exposed to reproach and affliction, and sometimes being partners with those so treated. 34 For you had compassion on those in prison, and you joyfully accepted the plundering of your property, since you knew that you yourselves had a better possession and an abiding one. 35 Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. 36 For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised.

We need to live in reality: we live in a place of suffering.
But looking to the future is not so that we can live in despair of the difficulties of the present.
It’s so that we would have hope for what is to come.
Do not throw away your confidence … it has a great reward.
