I myself have enjoyed hearing the other pastors’ sermons in this series on Ephesians 1-3, “Called.” The “church” (ekklesia) is “a called out assembly.” Both the universal and local church are grand and glorious to God. I wonder if we understand how God sees the church and if we value it as He does.

By Grace Alone
July 25, 2021
But God.
These are two of the most powerful words in the Bible. You may be helpless, hopeless, or hurting, but God brings hope amidst the darkness through His glorious grace. Ephesians 2:4 begins with “But God”. The bleak news we heard in Ephesians 2:1-3 doesn’t have to be the end of the story, all because of God’s grace alone.
Dead Men Walking

Ephesians 2:1-3 is a heavenly diagnosis of our spiritual condition. It describes the spiritual condition of all believers before God saved them and they trusted in Christ. It also describes the spiritual condition of all people who are unsaved and still outside of Christ. This passage clarifies that there is absolutely nothing in humanity that makes us worthy of God’s grace, and that we are in need of a saving miracle outside of ourselves.
Called to Pray
July 11, 2021
We are the “called out ones” as part of God’s plan and purpose for the ages. More of God’s plan for His Church is given to us in Ephesians than any other New Testament book. An important focus in today’s message as part of this plan is Paul’s prayer for the saints at Ephesus and for us. How can we know when we pray that we are praying in accordance with God’s will? Would you like to feel more confident that God is using your prayers in a powerful way?
A Celebration of Praise: Our Redemption
June 27, 2021
Paul begins his letter to the Ephesians with a celebration of praise for our redemption. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit were all involved in our redemption. Our personal and corporate response should be endless praise (Psalm 150).

Happy Father’s Day. Welcome to part two of our pastoral team summer message series, “Called.” Ephesians 1-3 presents who you and I are as the Church (called out ones) in Christ....
Called
June 6, 2021
Welcome to Ephesians, a Book for an important church, for every church, and for all members of “Christ’s Body, the Church.” Ekklesia meant “called out assembly.” Church is not someplace you go but something you are. Every local church is to express the universal church. This “calling” provides the theme of Ephesians.
